Cosmic Canvas is a classic top-down pullover, crafted to be a timeless piece in your handknit collection.

This sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, beginning with a ribbed neckline. The yoke features stranded colorwork, with increases cleverly incorporated into the pattern. After the colorwork section, optional short-row shaping is added at the back to contour the shoulders and neckline for a better fit. Sleeves and body are then separated and worked from the top down.

The motifs in the stranded colorwork are inspired by images from the James Webb Space Telescope. A tribute to the artistic beauty of space and the way color and light help us interpret scientific discoveries. I was inspired to sketch an explosion-like pattern, full of bold shapes and expanding movement.
