Cosy Cabled Handwarmers
Say hello to your new everyday essential: a pair of beautifully cabled handwarmers that bring together warmth, texture, and just the right amount of knitted flair. Perfect for keeping your hands toasty while leaving your fingers free (hello, coffee cups, phones, and shop tills!), these are as practical as they are stylish.
The flowing cables create a rich, textured fabric that feels luxurious and looks effortlessly put-together, while the natural stretch keeps them snug and comfortable to wear. A satisfying knit with a timeless finish, this is the kind of project you’ll want to make again and again—whether as a treat for yourself or a thoughtful handmade gift.
Cosy, classic, and just a little bit fancy… and if you’ve got half a ball of yarn left? That’s just enough to knit our matching headband too!
This pattern was written for our in-person “Introduction to Cable Knitting” course, and we’ve included a lesson plan and even homework for our 2-session course. All of our knitters managed to complete both the headband and handwarmers using 100g of Cascade 128 Superwash Chunky yarn, though we provided an extra 10g to accommodate looser gauges or larger head circumferences.
Teachers, feel free to print these patterns and use them in your own courses!
Knitters, we’re happy for you to use these patterns to make and sell these accessories.
