I love rainy days! There is just something so cosy and lovely about snuggling up in a comfortable chair with a hot beverage and some knitting or a book. Listening to the rain’s pitter patter on the windowsill, knowing that you are snug inside. The Cosy Rain socks were made with these days in mind, warm, fun and cosy for your rainy day stay-ins. Or if you have to go out, to wear in your wellies to keep your feet nice and toasty!

One size. Finished and blocked socks measure:
Length of the foot: approx. 22 cm/8.7”.
Circumference: approx. 21 cm/8.3”.
Size can be adjusted by using smaller or larger sized needles or thinner or thicker yarn.

Yarn used in sample:
MC: Novita Venla 010 (Natural white)
CC1: Arwetta 810 (Chrysanthemum)
CC2: Arwetta 808 (Aqua Mist)
CC3: Socki Fine A048 (Dark Grey Melange)

Approximate weight needed (if sticking to gauge):
MC: 45 g
CC1: 20 g
CC2: 15 g
CC3: 10 g

(One ball of yarn: 100gr = 425 meters/465 yards or 50 g = 210 meters/230 yards). Or any other yarn of the same weight, preferably a woolmix for socks, to make them more durable.

Needles: Magic loop or double pointed needles size 2 mm/US 0 and 2.75 mm/US 2, or whichever size needle is suitable for achieving gauge or change size. If you use magic loop, a cable of about 60-80 cm/25-30” is sufficient.

Other materials needed:
Tapestry needle
A piece of scrap yarn in a contrasting colour
Scissors

Gauge for colourwork:
Approx. 34 st/37 rows = 10 cm/4”.

Pattern is available in English and Swedish.
