I’m old enough to remember the 80s (I know, it’s hard to believe, but it’s true!) and my inspiration for these two cowls comes from a totally awesome hooded crop top I used to own. It was covered in geometric patterns in neon colours, all on a black background. I loved that top. Sadly, it is no more, but luckily I could recreate it using this fabulously bright gradient set.
I provide two versions, both of which are ripe for stashbusting. Do you chose Version 1, inspired by the crop top, or Version 2 which was simply a stitch pattern I created when I was playing with the colour layout?
Both cowls begin with a provisional cast on and are knit in the round on a circular needle. Version 1 has its ends grafted to each other to create a tube. Version 2 has it’s ends grafted to themselves and is fastened with buttons.

You will need 100g of an MC and 5 contrasting colours for version 1, and 5 colours for version 2.
