A goal I have for the new year is to begin making things for my wardrobe, where I have gaps, which will become staples in my rotation of every day knitwear. As the weather started to become colder, I kept thinking how chilly my toes would get while I would sit on my favorite chair in the family room, working on my latest cast on or hand spinning project. It was time for a pair of house socks! It is my goal for the new year, to continue to add garments and accessories which become my “go to” apparel, perfect for any occasion.

This pattern is knit from the top down with two cast on options: a picot edge (if you want to add a little flair) or a rolled cuff. It features a beautiful Latvian braid, and has options for short or long legs. A simple afterthought heel rounds out this pattern, meaning you can try on the sock while you are working on it, to make it the perfect length for you.
