The old train station in the beautiful town Aveiro in northern Portugal is known for its Azulejos. The pattern on the sidewalk in front of the building is a bit more toned down – I still want to honour this Calçada Portuguesa - in the form of a sock! I think it’s worth it and also easy to knit!

Der alte Bahnhof im wunderschönen nordportugiesischen Örtchen Aveiro ist bekannt für seine großen Azulejo-Kachelbilder. Direkt vor dem Haus hat die Stadt ein eher unscheinbares Gehweg-Pflaster verlegen lassen. Diese Calcada Portuguesa möchte ich dennoch würdigen – mit einem eigenen Socken-Modell. Ich finde, sie ist es wert. Und das Muster strickt sich wirklich gut!
