On the anniversary of the revolution, the town hall opens its doors to everyone and you can look down onto the square from the balcony of champions. What you will see is a beautiful but simple graphic design of the Calçada Portuguesa with a very special multidimensional effect.
The original pattern repeat is actually quite elaborate. For the socks, I designed a significantly simplified version that creates a sense of depth, much like the original design.

Am Jahrestag der Revolution öffnet das Rathaus seine Türen für alle und man kann vom Balkon der Meister herabschauen. Dabei entdeckt man ein wunderschönes, aber einfach konstruiertes grafisches Muster der Calçada Portuguesa mit einer außergewöhnlichen räumlichen Wirkung.
Eigentlich ist der Original-Rapport ziemlich umfangreich. Für die Socken habe ich eine deutlich vereinfachte Version entworfen, die ähnlich wie das große Vorbild eine Tiefenwirkung entfaltet.
