Add a hint of handmade charm to your home with the Crafter’s Washcloth — a fun and easy project perfect for knitters of all levels. Including a simple yet satisfying stitch pattern using just knits, purls, and slip stitches, this washcloth makes a great gift or personal treat. I call it the Crafter’s Washcloth because it’s a perfect fit for makers of all kinds! The washcloth is reversible, with a slight difference in the stitch pattern.

Yarn: I used Knit Picks Comfy Fingering weight 2 strands held together - which comes out to be about a DK/light worsted weight. The pattern page states you’ll need about 100-115 yards, but that is the total yardage for the yarns held together. If not using two strands of yarn, you’ll only need around 50-65 yards of DK/light worsted weight cotton or cotton blend yarn.

Needles: I used size US 5 knitting needles for this washcloth. Feel free to use either straight or circular needles; the washcloth is knit flat.

Gauge: approx. 5 sts and 9 rows over 1” in the slip stitch pattern knit flat. The gauge isn’t really important at all, unless you’d like your washcloth to be the same size as my sample. Just make sure you use needles that fit the yarn you will be using.

Finished Size: 6” by 6” square (if gauge is obtained - finished size will vary)

Enjoy! :)
