The hat is part of a set (the other part being gloves) that was inspired by the National Trust gardens at Cragside in Northumberland. The gardens include an area with the splendid name Temperate Ferneries, where ferns grow among specially placed boulders. The hat and gloves carry a lace fern pattern and are lightweight and suited to temperate climes.
