Easy single layered potholder made using 2 strands of worsted weight cotton of your choice and an H or I hook.

Use a hook size comfortable to work stitches with 2 strands of yarn and a hook which allows the potholder to lay flat or not curl. I crochet to gauge or loose, so a larger hook than those suggested may be needed.

I was experimenting with various colors of worsted weight cotton yarns in my stash, colors closer in shades would work great.

7” potholder was made using the Extended Single Crochet Stitch(ESC).
