Quick and easy patterned potholders that can be made as gifts for girls or guys. These look great designed as a Gingham style print; or with bolder color choices, the potholders resemble ‘Buffalo Check’, or ‘Lumberjack’ prints often seen in summer shirts or flannel shirts.

Worked in simple Double crochet rows, these 2 layer potholders have a patterned front and solid color back. The layers are seamed together using a round of single crochet. All color changes are carried along the wrong side of work (less weaving in of ends).

Any worsted weight cotton will work, and less than a ball of each will be enough to complete a potholder.
