Self striping socks knit themselves – FACT

And yet, I have a seemingly endless supply of self striping sock yarn in my stash waiting to be knit up. I’ve been really enjoying playing with different stitch patterns that complement striped yarn to bring a different element to these amazing colour combinations!

Criggle is an easily memorisable pattern that combines slip stitches and mini cable twists to make the most of colour changes. It is written with a regular stitch pattern as well as directions for working with self striping.

I came to Criggle as a name, thinking about melding criss cross and wiggle. As I was writing this up I discovered that Criggle is in the Urban Dictionary too! Noun: A criggle is when one both laughs and cries at the same time. So relatable!

The pattern includes x 2 different toe options, x 2 different stitch variations and instructions for a high instep heel adjustment so please read the pattern carefully before casting on.
