Crispina is a semi-circular shawl born out of the following desires:

• I wanted to knit up one skein of Malabrigo Silkpaca;
• I wanted to knit with pre-strung beads;
• I wanted to knit a simple pattern broken by the excitement of adding beads, with more challenging lace parts in between;
• I wanted a knit-on border.

The pattern includes a pdf file, written instructions, and an optional google sheet with tickboxes. There is a chart for the knit-on edge.

When you follow the instructions, the shawl should knit up to be 120cm/47 inches high and 50cm/19.5 inches deep. You can of course play around with thicker yarn to get a larger size.

Materials

• one skein of Malabrigo Silkpaca yarn (lace weight, 384 metres / 420 yards) - or similar
• 10 grams of 8/0 beads, or 388 beads in total, strung onto your yarn beforehand. I used miyuki rocailles 8/0 - metallic iris dark blue 452
• 3mm circular needles, with a 40 cm long cord (or longer)
• optional: one 3mm straight needle for the first row of the daisy stitch
