This is a crochet pattern only, not a finished product.

The Charlotte cardigan is an elegant, oversized, super soft and light cardigan which is perfect for spring and warmer weather.

This pattern is named after my beautiful, sweet and caring mother. I love my mom very much and wanted to name this design after her.

Right after purchasing, you will receive three downloadable PDFs: two versions of the pattern and a lookbook.

I’ve included two versions of the pattern. The main one has step by step instructions whereas the second version is more compact and the instructions are separated into rows and not steps. That’s why this version is shorter than the main one but it contains all the same information.

Info:

• Beginner-friendly.
• Made-to-measure which means you’ll make it according to your own measurements.
• The cardigan works up pretty quickly. I can finish one in 1-2 days.
• You won’t have to work “usual” decreases or increases and you don’t have to make a gauge swatch but I’ve written down instructions on how to make it just in case.
• This pattern includes pictures to help you through the various steps and video tutorials on how to work the ribbing and sewing the cardigan. That’s why it’s rather long.
• This pattern uses US terminology and the metric system.
• Includes a list of suggested yarn options.

Materials:
- Yarn: lace weight mohair/silk blend yarn (double-stranded). You can use any yarn weight you want but keep in mind that the look of your cardigan will be different than mine. For my double stranded off-white cardigan, I used 6 skeins of 72 % mohair and 28 % silk yarn blend (2 ply) from Hjertegarn which measures 210 m/25 g.

• Crochet hook: Main hook: 4-5 mm larger than the largest hook listed on your yarn label (pick the size based on how lacy stitches you want: 5 mm larger for most laciness and 4 mm larger for less laciness and 4.5 mm larger for medium laciness). I used size 10 mm and my yarn recommended size 3-5.5 mm (4.5 mm larger than the largest size listed on my yarn label).

If you want to make yours single-stranded, you can (keep in mind that your cardigan will be a lot thinner than mine if you’re using lace weight yarn). Then, pick the largest size of the range listed on your yarn label or 0.5-1 mm larger for a little extra laciness. Mine listed size 3-5.5 mm, so I’d use size 5.5-6.5 mm.

Secondary hook (regardless of your number of strands): 0.5 mm larger than half the size of your main hook (my main hook was 10 mm, and my secondary one was size 5.5 mm).
