Crochet Flower Bag
by Marie Wallin
This pretty crochet bag is a perfect way to learn crochet as it is made just using the basic crochet stitch of ‘double crochet’ (US - ‘single crochet’). The bag uses 3 shades of Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift and the main body of the bag is worked using an end of each of the three colours together on a 4.5mm hook.
The flower decorations are made from a spiralling strip of ‘trebles’ (US - ‘double crochet’) and ‘double trebles’ (US - ‘treble’) using one end of yarn on a 2.5mm hook.
The finished bag measures 37cm (14.5 ins) wide x 27cm (10.5 ins)deep at deepest point.
