The Nikita shrug/sweater is cute, fitted, super soft and light. You can either make yours a shrug or a sweater.

This pattern is named after me to celebrate and honour myself and my accomplishments. And I want you to do the same when you wear your Nikita shrug/sweater. We all have something to be proud of.

Right after purchasing, you will receive two downloadable PDFs: the crochet pattern and a lookbook.

This pattern is beginner-friendly as it is detailed, has photos of each step and links to video tutorials.

This pattern is “made to measure” which means you’ll make it according to your own measurements.

The shrug/sweater works up pretty quickly; I can finish one in 2-3 days.

This pattern uses US terminology and the metric system.

Materials:

  • I used lace weight mohair/silk blend yarn (78 % mohair and 28 % silk, 25g/210m) from Uldstedet (Danish store) but you can use any yarn weight and fiber (I used 100 g for my light blue size S/M one-standed shrug).
  • A crochet hook. The hook size depends on what yarn weight and fiber you use. I used size 6 mm as my main hook for my light blue shrug and size 6,5 mm for the ruffles and 4 mm for the white borders (yarn label recommended size 2,5-3). If you use lace weight mohair yarn like me, I recommend using the same size. If you use another fiber, I recommend going for 1-2 sizes bigger than what the label recommends.
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers
  • Measuring tape
  • Ribbon and beads (optional)

Skills needed:

  • Chaining
  • Double crochet
  • Single crochet
  • Slip stitch
  • Sewing (I’ve included a video tutorial)

You can find tutorials on YouTube for everything :)

I hope you’ll love your Nikita shrug/sweater as much as I love mine and honour yourselves when you wear it <3

Love, Nikita
