Pattern and Idea to make your own storage tin cans.

By using a tin can you get a nice sturdy storage pot which stands up to holding needles, scissors and pencils etc. rather than a floppy structure.

The pattern can be adjusted to cover different sized cans. I have included some colour ideas to use up stash yarn and create different patterns. It is a good use for multi yarns which give a nice finish without having to change colours.

The pattern is in US terms and uses only single crochet (sc), it includes increases in single crochet and is worked in continuous rounds.

Use any yarn you have, suggest going half a size down to the recommended hook on the balls or skeins so the can doesn’t show through.

It is a beginner friendly pattern and once you have completed the base with the increases you just continue in rounds using single crochet stitches until complete.

A quick and useful stash buster.
