This pattern is 100% Crochet, but with techniques that imitate both the ribbed look, and comfortable stretch of knit. and best of all? It’s meant for only 100 grams of dk yarn!

A perfect fit for hand dyed yarn in varigated or speckled colorways, this textured hat will display every color in your yarn, without looking too busy or confused. The ribbed look of this elastic-brimmed hat is as close as you can get to the trend of ribbed knit hats, while working entirely in crochet.

The pattern is written to suit an adult, with a ten inch wide hat that has a very comfortable, elastic fit. The length is about 10 inches long, given the stretchy nature of the stitches, and makes a nice slouchy hat. But instructions are included for how to make a smaller or larger hat.

To use up every yard of your special hank of hand dyed or luxury yarn, I’ve also included a matching coffee sleeve pattern! Should you have extra yarn, this little matching accessory is an easy way to get the most out of your single skein of yarn!

Additional supplies are a Size I hook as well as a Size K hook.

Still not sure what to do with that extra special one skein of yarn? Check out my store for more ideas!
