Crox Sox
The carefully placed openwork on these knee socks creates visual interest that flatters the legs, ankles and heels. The design “walks” down the calf area of the sock gradually crossing over in the front and back to create a slenderizing effect at the ankles. Eyelets circling the cuff can be laced with a crochet braid finished with tassels for decoration and a more secure fit.
Individual patterns for the right and left sock are mirror images, so there is no true left or right. The socks were originally designed for clogs, but look great with casual shoes.
This pattern has a fitted shape and was written for a calf that begins at about 12” at the top, increasing to 14” at the widest part, then tapering to the ankle. It can be custom fit from an 8.5 to a 10.5 inch long foot.
