For this design, I really wanted to marl ( a new-to-me technique) two different color yarns and use a cable. I really love designing with graph paper. After sketching a rough draft, I used Stitch Fiddle to bring it to life. The design creates simple rhombuses through the body of the hat. The crown decreases are worked with ssk and ktog. This design is easy to memorize and can be done without a cable needle!

Notes:
-I wrote the instructions for knitters using cable needles in mind. However, do whatever cable technique works best for you.
-estimated yardage is given for the size 2 hat; yardage will change depending on size and gauge

Yarn:
I used a DK and a Single (in contrasting colors) held together the whole time.

Size 2 hat used:
-62.3 grams of DK
-37.7 grams of Single
