Inspiración: Imaginé este cuello como respuesta al #retoteje3palabras de @Beagle.Knits y @Merino.Feroz.

Eligieron 3 ideas al azar para inspirarnos:
Color- colores que saben a buen tiempo
Sentimiento- intensidad
Lugar- El Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia

Cuando propusieron esas 3 ideas supe exactamente qué lana iba a usar y cómo iba a inspirarme con el lugar, teniendo yo mucho amor por Bolivia. Explico todo en mi primer episodio de ‘Al sol y punto,’ mi vídeo aventura en YouTube que algunos llamarían un podcast de tejido.

Y aquí está, y no podría estar más feliz con los resultados. Más aún gracias a la ayuda de mis amigos tejeriles y las que animaron a testear el patrón! ¡Muy muy feliz estoy! ¡Espero que disfruten tanto como yo!

Lana: 2 madejas del grosor fingering de calcetines de Dingolondango, colorway “Beach”
MERINYL 75% Superwash Merino y 25% Nylon.
100 gramos 425 metros. 4Ply
(400 m/100 g) cada madeja y dos hebras tejidas a la vez= (200g/800 m)

También hay opción de un cuello menos intenso, pudiendo usar solo una madeja dividida en dos, y tejiendo las dos hebras a la vez para crear un cuello más corto. (instrucciones en el patrón)

Creo que sería muy interesante usar dos lanas de grosor fingering pero con dos colores: uno de speckles/moteado y uno liso.

También está la opción de usar solo una hebra de DK.

Agujas: 4.5mm, US 7 o las que te den un tejido gustoso. A mí me gusta un tejido denso para este patrón y por eso he usado agujas más pequeñas de las que normalmente se recomendarían.

Tensión: 10cm x 10cm (4” x 4”) punto jersey hay 17 puntos y 27 vueltas.

I dreamed up this cowl in response to the #knit3wordschallenge of @Beagle.Knits and @Merino.Feroz. They chose 3 ideas out of a hat for us to use as inspiration.

Color- ​colors that taste like good weather
Feeling- intensity
Place- ​El Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia

When I heard the 3 ideas, I knew exactly what yarn I was going to use and how I was going to look for inspiration with the place, as I have much love for Bolivia. I explain everything in my first episode of “Al sol ypunto,” my video adventures on YouTube which some might call a knitting podcast.

And here it is! I could not be happier with the results and with the help of my dear knitting friends and those who volunteered to test the pattern. This would be nothing without them! I hope that you enjoy it as much as I have!

Recommended yarn:​ I used 2 skeins of fingering weight sock yarn by Dingolondago in the Beach colorway MERINYL 75% Superwash Merino and 25% Nylon.
100 grams 425 meters.
4Ply(425m/100g) per skein held double = (200g/850m)

You could definitely use just two balls of 50g fingering weight yarn held double and make a smaller cowl. (instructions in pattern)
I could have stopped after knitting just 90g total (45g of each skein) but I wanted to use both skeins and make this an“intense” cowl!

I think it would be really interesting to hold two fingering weights: a speckle/variegated color with a solid color or maybe even just one strand of DK.

Needles:​ 4.5mm, US7 or whatever size gives you a pleasing fabric. I really like the dense fabric that these smaller needles created.

Notions: ​Stitch markers, darning needles, & ​​cable needle (unless you want to do the cables without a needlesee video link in pattern)

Gauge:​ in a 10cm x 10cm (4” x 4”) stockinette swatch there are 17 stitches and 27 rows.
