Cunningham is a unisex pullover featuring a Henley opening and a blank slate for solid colors, color blocking or stripes. The entire yoke is worked flat with a selvedge stitch on either side of the Henley button band opening. Short rows and raglan increases are worked to shape the shoulders. The sleeves and body are separated, and stitches are cast on for the base of the button band and the underarms. The body and sleeves are each worked in the round from live stitches. Stitches are picked up for each side of the double-knit button band and finished with an Italian Tubular Bind-off in the matching color of the collar cast-on. Color changes are noted throughout and can be modified as desired. Instructions are given for both “men’s” or “women’s” button bands.

Needles
Ribbing: US 3/3.25 mm
Main: US 5/3.75 mm needles on long circular and preferred needles for small circumference knitting (long circular or double pointed needles)
If a different needle size is needed to obtain gauge, go down two US needle size for the ribbing.

Notions
Darning needle, stitch markers, scissors, scrap yarn or stitch holders, buttons. Sample uses six 0.8”/2 cm buttons. Calculations for making buttonholes are given based on how many buttons you prefer to use.
