Curry Puff Amigurumi
This amigurumi was inspired by the curry puff, a savoury pastry local to Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. The classic curry puff consists of crispy pastry stuffed with a dry meat-and-potato curry, and sometimes hard boiled egg. Variations include flaky, layered pastry, or sardine or tuna filling. It is a favourite here and is best eaten piping hot from the pan or oven.
Besides being super delicious, the curry puff is also a humble child born from the marriage of culinary traditions of the various ethnic groups and cultures that settled in the Malay archipelago.
