Curves & Edges is an asymmetrical shawl that morphs from a triangle into a crescent.

Knitting begins at the upper left-hand corner. Regular additions of new sections create the chevron edge and width of the Left Triangle, while shaping along the top border gradually narrows the piece to end in a crescent shape. An unusual narrow panel undulates across the expanse. The Right Crescent is adorned with a graceful wide panel and charming lower border.

Various sizes are made by following the same directions using different weights of yarn. Knitting with relaxed tension is recommended, to allow some drape.

The Worsted version requires 900 - 1000 yards on 5mm needles. Sample was knit in Wool of the Andes Worsted, 18 sts x 26 rows = 4” in Stockinette.

Stitch patterns are charted only. Pattern has been test-knit and tech-edited.

Stitch designs are from my Cable Innovations Series of PDF stitch collections.
