This blanket uses a combination of two stitches. Garter stitch creates the border around the perimeter of the blanket and the beautiful Cut Jewels stitch pattern is created by alternating sections of ribs and garter stitch for the body of the blanket. This blanket has a marvelous drape to it and is a truly reversible design - there really is no “wrong” side to this blanket, making it a very attractive throw. There are instructions for two different sizes of this blanket included in this pattern - Throw and Baby - but the size can easily be modified to your own liking.
