This cowl is knit in the round on circular needles and the beautiful Cut Jewels stitch pattern is created by alternating sections of ribs and garter stitch. It is a perfect layering piece for winter and spring alike and a great unisex accessory. Instructions for both a bulky weight version and a worsted weight version of this cowl are included in this pattern and it is very beginner friendly.

What you will need:
205 yd (187 m) in any worsted (category 4) weight yarn (like Knit Picks Brava Worsted) OR
126 yd (115 m) in any bulky (category 5) weight yarn (like Knit Picks Brava Bulky)
Size 7 US (4.5 mm) circular knitting needles with a 24” cable OR
Size 10.5 US (6.5 mm) circular knitting needles with a 24” cable
1 stitch marker
Tapestry yarn needle
Scissors

Skill level: Beginner

Skills needed: Casting on, knitting in the round, knit stitch, purl stitch, binding off.
