This pretty baby cardigan is knitted in DK, soft, light, wool cotton. It is designed with a pretty hand embroidered daisy motif within a diamond garter stitch design. The Cardigan is edged in an attractive garter stitch rib.
It is knitted from the top down in one piece, minimising bulky seams. The only seams join each sleeve up to the underarm. I prefer to knit on two needles as I find it quicker however, the sleeves could be knitted on double pointed needles.
Illustrations demonstrate the garter stitch diamond pattern and daisy embroidery.

Suggested yarns: Debbie Bliss ‘Isabella’, Rowan ‘Wool Cotton’ or Drops ‘Merino Cotton’.
I used 3.25 and 3.50 needles which are smaller than the recommended needle size for a firmer fabric.
