SKILLS NEEDED (US terminology)

  • reading simple crochet instructions (either written instructions or in a diagram, both are provided)
  • be able to make chains, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, half double crochet two together and slip stitch
  • seam granny squares together by the method of your choice
  • seam in ends

MATERIALS NEEDED:

  • A hook size of your choosing
  • A hook size in one size smaller (0.5 mm smaller)
  • Measuring tape (to take body measurements)
  • Darning needle
  • Enough yarn to finish the tee (see below)

YARDAGE GUIDE

  • The tee pictured here was made using cotton fingering weight yarn (340 m/100 g) and I used a total of 833 m. I am 150 cm tall (4′11″) and generally wear size XS to S in stores.
  • In general, using fingering weight yarn, this is the yardage recommended for people generally wearing sizes: XS at least 850 m, S at least 950 m, M at least 1100 m, L at least 1250 m, XL at least 1400 m, XXL at least 1550 m, XXL at least 1650 m.
