Dalliance Shawl is the second in my Easy Beginners Shawl Pattern Series.
This one really couldn’t be much easier to work, but still, the result is nothing less than charming.
A very light and beautifully shaped shawl that is worked in two contrasting yarns.
The pattern is a breeze to memorize and you will be delighted with the elegant results of your work.
This one is also a perfect travel knitting project.

Dalliance works up quickly and can be made in small , medium or large and makes a great present, just knit it in the recipients favourite colours!

Size: This shawl can be any size you like, samples are about 40 cm ( 16”) deep to the point and 92 cm (36”) wide
To change size, just stop knitting when it’s the size you want !

Materials: Fingering weight yarn in two contrasting colours, about 100g in each colour, 200g total.
Yarn used has 420m to 100g.

I chose a solid colour for the main colour (Purl stripes) and teamed it with a variegated colour
(Lace mesh) for the contrast. Lots of different combinations are possible.

Yarn Suggestions:
King Cole Summer 4 Ply
Regia Cotton Tutti Frutti
West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 ply

Knitting Needles: Circular needle 3.5 mm (US4), as least 120 cm long
You can try smaller or larger needles if you want a denser or looser fabric
2 stitch markers
Tension/ Gauge: 22 sts to 10 cm (4”) in pattern.
Tension/ Gauge are not so important in this project. I suggest you work a swatch to see if you like the resulting fabric and then adjust the needle size if you want a denser or looser fabric.
