The Dalliance Wrap is an intermediate textured crochet shawl pattern featuring instructions for both right- and left-handed crochet.

Materials:

200g - 300g Sock/Fingering Weight Yarn
3.5 mm - 4 mm Hook
My sample used 250g of a light fingering weight yarn and a 3.5 mm hook.

Any fingering weight yarn will work for this project, as will any sport or DK weighted yarn. Gauge is not particularly important for this pattern as the triangle shape will scale up or down depending. The design is also worked in sections separated by the eyelet lace, making this wrap completely customizable in size.

Stitches Used:

Chain Stitch
Skip Stitch
Double Crochet

The stitches themselves are not difficult, but there is a lot of working over and under other stitches, so a strong understanding of stitch “anatomy” is required. For this reason this shawl pattern is considered intermediate, but an adventurous beginner with a few projects under their belt shouldn’t be discouraged.
