Dandelion Sweater
Dandelion sweater was made for my daughter it was so beautiful I had to make it more sizes to share with the knitting world.
Made from the top down. This circular yoke sweater has just 6 rounds of color-work to transition between the two colors. Knit in DK weight it is warm but not too warm for children’s bodies that never sit still.
Sized for kids ages approximately 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12.
Finished chest circumference: 26, (28, 30), (32, 34)” 66, (71, 76), (81, 86) cm
Needle: US 6 4mm for main body in 16” and 32” circulars. DPS or 9” for small circumference knitting. And US 4 3.50mm for ribbing in 16” and 32” circulars and preferred needle for small circumference knitting.
Gauge: 20 sts and 22 rows= 4” on US6 4mm needle in stockinette.
Yarn: DK weight. 231 yds/100g.
Sample Knit in Mano Creare “Daily Merino Wool” 40g= 95m.
Main color (cream in sample) 180, (200, 230), (290, 340) grams
Contrast color (golden in sample) 44, (55, 66), (73, 80) grams
