Since my birthday is on Halloween, I’ve always enjoyed making a big deal out of the holiday. Dia de los Muertos, or Dia de Muertos, occurs on November 1 to November 2, right after Halloween. Making these is just fun for me.

Traditional Day of the Dead skulls are painted white or in psychedelic bright colors, with cheerful decorations.

These skulls are about 5” high, and stand up on their own, but are easily dented (and undented). Instructions for stiffening and strengthening the skulls is included. A battery-powered tea-light can be placed inside for an unusual night light or decoration.

Each skull uses about 40 g of yarn. I wanted to make a skull with a good amount of anatomical correctness, but not so much detail that they would be impractical to make. I hope that you enjoy them. I look forward to seeing what people make.
