OVERVIEW
A graceful deer stands quietly among scattered flowers, giving these mittens a soft, storybook feel. The delicate blooms and gentle lines of the design add a touch of whimsy, while the bold silhouette keeps the motif crisp and easy to read in colorwork. Knit with stranded colorwork, they’re warmer than single-stranded mittens thanks to the extra yarn carried on the inside, yet still lightweight enough to keep your hands nimble for everyday outdoor tasks.

Only two colors are used throughout, making this an ideal project for using up fingering or sock-weight yarn scraps.

Highlights:
Stranded colorwork for extra warmth without excess thickness
Uses only two colors
Great scrap-busting project for fingering or sock yarn

SIZES
Increasing or decreasing 0.5 mm in needles size can lengthen the mittens by 1-1.5 cm, while the circumfrence is altered by 0.25-0.5 cm.

2.0 mm for size small (womens)
2.5 mm for size medium/fits most (womens)
3.0 mm for size large (womens)
This small change in needle size does not make the mittens see-through, but extends the length of the mittens by a couple of mm.

YARN
Drops fabel, flora, or nord
About 160 meters of main color (dark) fingering weight yarn.
About 160 meters of contrast color (light) fingering weight yarn.
