DELA BANDANA
In Swedish, DELA means “to divide” or “to share”. The project was born from a book of color combinations sitting on my table, where two large squares were bisected by a narrower stripe. I wanted to capture that exact balance: two main shades meeting at the center, linked by a thin garter stitch stripe. It is a play on clean proportions, designed to showcase the yarn shades you choose to pair together.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Difficulty level : Beginner/intermediate
Finished measurements : Approximately 112 cm x 25.5 cm (44 in x 10 in) after blocking.
Gauge : 22 stitches x 32 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4 in x 4 in) in stockinette stitch with 4 mm (US 6) needles, measured after blocking.

MATERIALS
Suggested yarn :
Brusca by Rosa Pomar (100% untreated Portuguese wool).
Ball of 50 g = 125 m (136 yds), DK weight.

Main Color 1 (MC1) : 1 ball of 50 g / 125 m (colorway C586 (Burgundy), divided into one 35 g ball and one 15 g ball).
Main Color 2 (MC2) : 1 ball of 50 g / 125 m (colorway C570 (Deep forest green), divided into one 35 g ball and one 15 g ball).
Contrast Color (CC) : Approximately 15 g / 38 m (colorway A578 (Butter) for the central garter stitch stripe).

Needles and Accessories
4 mm (US 6) circular (or straight) needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.
1 stitch marker (m).
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

I would love to see your finished project !

BANDANA DELA
