Delicate Rose Cowl
Turn your stitches into the Delicate Rose Cowl - a seamless stranded colourwork design. Worked entirely in the round from the bottom up, this intermediate design features a small repeatable leaf trellis pattern, and a more challenging rose stem pattern that tests longer floats.
Inspiration for this came from our garden which has several rose plants, the oldest being a Queen Elizabeth that is over 30 years old and planted by my husbands grandmother. The Delicate Rose Cowl is the first of two rose inspired designs.
Key Features:
- Completely Seamless - Worked entirely in the round from the bottom up, so there is no sewing or assembly required at the end.
- Neat Finished Edges - Framed with classic 2x2 ribbing at both the top and bottom edges to keep the cowl perfectly in shape and prevent rolling.
- Versatile Styling - Designed to fit comfortably around the neck, it pairs equally well with casual sweaters or dressy coats.
Materials Used:
- Yarn: Two contrasting yarns in DK weight. Sample used 66g of Fated Yarns Washford (100% Superwash Merino 100g/225m) in Profoundly Important Work for the main colour, and 25g of Drops Lima (65% Wool + 35% Alpaca 50g/100m) in White for the contrast colour.
