Technic : Double filet crochet, Interlocking filet crochet

Small 10 by 10 Double filet crochet graphs.
This technic is also called Interlocking Filet crochet and several other names.
It use two meshes made from dc, ch1 that are interwoven as you go.

You will need two different colors of yarn, about 15 meters (16,4 yds) of each color per square.
Your colors need to really contrast with one another.

With weight 2 (sport) yarn and a 3.5 mm hook, my squares end up being 9.5 x 9.5 cm
With weight 3 (DK) yarn and a 4.5 mm hook they end up being 10 x 10 cm.

You can use these squares as coasters, or join several of them together to make a pillowcase or even a small blanket.
