The Diamond Backed Mitts Crochet Pattern is a knit-look Nordic inspired project that will help you welcome and embrace the arrival of the chilly fall and winter months.

Completed Mittens measure approximately 10” long and 4” wide, fitting average adult women’s hands. Some tips on making adjustments for a more personalized fit are outlined in the pattern.

This mitten pattern is not recommended for beginner crocheters, it is a pattern best suited for intermediate to advanced crocheters who are comfortable with colour work, following charts and the waistcoat stitch (aka: crochet “knit” stitch, centre post stitch or split single crochet).

You will also need to maintain a consistent stitch tension throughout the pattern and be able to obtain a 2”x2” gauge of 8 stitches x 10 rows - use the appropriate Hook Size to meet the gauge/stitch tension.

There are detailed descriptions, and photos included, to help as a guide (not a tutorial) with stitches and techniques used in the pattern.

You will need 2 balls of Caron Simply Soft worsted (4) weight yarn, a G (4.00mm) Hook and a stitch marker and yarn needle for this pattern.

Thank you for your interest in the pattern, I hope you enjoy working with it!
