This is a pattern for a knit wrap that features four distinct lace stitches, none of which is difficult. If you’ve never made a shawl or wrap in the Shetland manner, this may be a good one to start with. It is not at all hard to do, but will give you practice with more than one lace stitch. Further, the final product gives the look of having been made by an expert. The center section features three lace stitches, and the border is knitted on, making a seamless wrap.

Skill Level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).

The pattern for all the stitches are both charted and written out line by line.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Barbara Robertson, who can be contacted at: Barb. Robertson@ gmail.com, and who is known on Ravelry as NanaKnits4Us. The yarn used in this sample is Handmaiden’s/Fleece Artist’s BFL Sport in Colorway, Smoke
