This cowl is knit using knit, purl, yarn overs, and decrease stitches to create a diamond pattern surrounded by zig zags.

Please note that this cowl uses just about one full skein of Cascade 220 Superwash therefore if you do the gauge swatch you will need another skein of yarn. If you are also knitting the matching hat then 2 skeins of yarn will be sufficient to knit the cowl, hat, and gauge swatch.
