  • The rectangular stole (top 2 photos) is worked in two halves and grafted in the middle (Or not! Can be knitted in one long piece if grafting seems scary).

  • The border is knitted first. Body stitches for the stole are picked up along one edge of the border.

  • Edges are knitted simultaneously with the body

  • Scarf (green) is knitted in one piece, starting out from a border. The second border is knitted on.

  • The lace patterns are charted

  • Gauge is not important and the one given is approximate (and better described as 1.5 pattern repeats wide and 2 repeats high).
