Meet my Dino Potato Pet. He is part of my set of “Potato pets” that started off with my love for Axolotls. I made this dinosaur softy/ squishy as a friend of ours LOVES all things dinosaue.

The pattern uses mostly basic stitches - magic circle, single crochet etc, but you do need to have a go at a mini bobble stitch. But it is written out AND there is also a video link for how to make this booble stitch. The spine uses half double crochet.

I used 6mm to go with the ricorumi yarn and 2mm hooks. But you may find your crochet a bit looser (mine is very small), so your amigurumi dino may end up bigger. You will also need a tapestry needle and a little black yarn for the dino’s mouth!

I like to add a little rice to bottom of the dino potato pet, that gives it a really nice feel and weight. And turns it into a nice sensory toy to hold and squish!
