Inspired by Tom Daley, Great Britain’s Gold Medalist High Diver, knitting during the Olympics, Dive In is a fun, crocheted cowl.

The sample was made in DK /light worsted weight yarn but the cowl can be made with any yarn and an appropriately sized hook.

Dive In is crocheted in the round and can be finished with an optional simple edging.

The gauge is not crucial for this design. I suggest trying the pattern with the suggested hook size or one size larger or smaller to find a fabric you love.

The sample has a circumference of 22 inches and is 6 inches tall (56 cm by 15 cm).

This cowl is completely customizable both in width and length by working more or fewer repeats of the patterns.

The directions for the stitch patterns used are given first, followed by the instructions for the cowl itself.

US crochet terms are used throughout the pattern.

The pattern is written, there are no charts.
