Divergence is a charted sock pattern featuring cables to create texture and interest. The charted pattern runs the full length of the leg and foot of the sock. The sock features a v heel and a round toe. It’s very easy to knit and to customise.

Knits up to a size 5-6 but there is a fair amount of stretch if following gauge.

The colourway and design are based on the tributary’s of rivers.

I used a 2.5mm circular for the cuff and a 2.75mm circular needle for the body. You could easily swap this for dps.

I used one ball of Drops Nord alpaca/wool mix Fog (colour 08) and Jeans Blue (16). You need a full ball of Fog to make a pair and less than half of the Jeans Blue. (I had only a few grams left of the Fog so it might be best to make these with a second ball to hand just in case.)

Customising options: Easiest method is to go up several needle sizes or even swap out the 4ply for a dk sock wool.

Note that the heel and toe sections of this sock are totally customisable so feel free to add in your favourite heel or toe.

Happy knitting and i look forward to seeing your photos and feedback.
