This wonderfully warm winter hat was designed for a friend who is exposed to cold North Sea winds. I have knitted this using Rowan Softest Merino Wool; it also works well in Lopi Alafosslopi (both are roving yarns). The wave pattern is an Icelandic motif.

No weaving is required for the stranded colourwork. The design is suitable for someone new to colourwork (you will need additional instruction on the stranded colourwork technique).

To fit head circumference of approximately 21” (M); 23” (L).

The hat requires 1 ball of Main Colour and a smaller amount of contrasting yarn.
