Doran Top is the perfect cropped summer top – it is seamless and light, with a built-in i-cord around the shoulders and armholes. Inspiration behind this top comes from my childhood home. The pond on my parent’s farm is called Doran Lake, and I would spend so many days wandering the forest and walking around the lake as a little girl, looking at the blanket of trilliums and other wildflowers. Inspiration also comes from a photo of me as a 4-year-old, wearing a cropped 90’s tank top with subtle pastel flowers. The cherry on top is that my grandmother, before the war, had a silkworm farm – designing this top using Pure Silk truly does bring this summer piece full-circle for me.
