One summer, I was given a hand-me-down dress - blue, pinstripe apron style. As soon as I put it on, my Mom took one look at me and my braided hair, and declared, “You look like Dorothy!”
I already had the ruby red shoes in my shoe collection, but they looked a little plain on their own.
All they needed was a lacy white ankle sock to make them fit for a courageous, adventurous, yellow-brick-road-following heroine.
The lacy cuff is knit first on larger needles, then the remained of the foot is picked up and knit from the top down.
Whether you’ve been swept away by a rogue tornado, or just dressing up for fun, the sweet little socks are sure to keep you on your toes.
