“Dotty” the cowl
By Woolly Hooligan Designs

A cowl to match the Dotty hat.

Featuring similar stranded colour work.

Once again used the glorious Malabrigo Rios yarn. Its super wash, durable, and the colours are simply irresistible.

Worked in the round, seamlessly, bottom up. Easy cowl, customizable in circumference depending on how you like to wear it. I wanted this one to be large enough to drape the shoulders, or twist twice around the neck.

Customization is explained in pattern.

Yarn:

  • Malabrigo Rios in Glitter (contrast) 1 skein and
  • Bobby Blue (main) 2 skeins

Materials:

  1. Circular needles in size 7 US, 24 inch or 30-inch cable,
  2. BOP marker,
  3. Darning needle to weave in ends.

I knit my colour work using a Norwegian thimble.

Gauge: (not crucial but helpful if you want to customize) 22 st/28 rowsin charted colour work in a 10 cm/4-inch blocked swatch. Knitted in the round

Finished Measurements: 47-inch circumference, 10-inch width.
