Inspiration:
Shawl/Wrap inspired by the beach, fluffy white clouds and sparkle of a vast blue sea. Glistening of snow even, thus the name inspired by the snow queen Elsa (children’s movie).
This lace pattern is lovely, simple and elegant adding a feminine touch. Airy to let a bit of a breeze in, oversized to fit casually and loosely over the shoulders.
Imagine this caplet on a beach, covering the shoulders in the breezy evening or even in a winter wedding.
Simplicity and elegance at its best.

This yarn is amazing. Mirasol is spun in Peru, divine mixture of merino wool, alpaca and silk for a faint shine. This yarn is classified as DK /sport weight, however, I felt it reminiscent of more a fingering weight, thus the use of smaller needle. Feel free to use any DK weight or fingering as gauge is not crucial here.

This caplet/shawl is meant to fit oversized. With room to drape the shawl over your shoulders.
Play with it, have fun and experiment!

Notes about construction:

Knitted sleeve first, in the round. After sleeve is completed, extra stitches are cast on for the front shawl, back sections and are worked first together and then separate sideways. It’s a fun, fit as you go concept. Back is worked shorter (my design will fit most, however a larger “back” can easily be adapted), the front longer with diagonal shaping to easily wrap/tie around the body.
The caplet is knitted with left side first, then right. The sides are seamed together after via 3 needle bind off
Finally, stitches are picked up along the bottom edge.
Wear wrapped around the waist or hanging loosely in the front draped over the shoulders.
