Double-brimmed beanies are the best. There’s nothing like an extra layer over your ears when it’s extra cold outside. The simple design makes “ears” when worn which is adorable on babies and adults alike! The self-striping yarn effortlessly makes this beanie look more elaborate than it actually was to make.

When I was planning this beanie, I was planning on sewing the corners of the beanie together to form the ears, but when I put the beanie on my baby’s head, the ears magically appeared all by themselves!

This simple double-brimmed beanie can be started with a knitted cast-on or provisional cast-on. It can be finished with a kitchener bind-off for a seamless look or flipped inside out and finished using a three-needle bind-off.
