This is a pattern for a light weight wrap. It’s heavier than a shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. The one pictured here was made using two strands of lace weight yarn, held together: one a variegated color and the other, one of the colors contained within the variegated pattern. You could easily substitute a light weight sport yarn, or a heavy fingering weight yarn. There are also instructions for an optional edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged. The wrap is made up of two distinct lace patterns that work together especially well. The center pattern is less known than the exterior one.

The yardage requirements listed above are for a sport weight yarn.

The finished size is approximately 22 inches X 74 inches

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting)

The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Helen’s Lace in both Gold Hill and Brick.

This pattern was expertly tested by Rebecca Wood. (rkwood16@gmail.com), and who is known on Ravelry as Rebs16.
